New rumors (?)
-Beckham's contract says that if his transfer to LA Galaxy will be a success, the Spice Boy can become the owner of the club after those 5 seasons. He might have also convinced Ronaldo to go to the USA. The brazilian striker would play for the New York Red Bulls.
-There is another probable destination for Ronaldo. Newcastle United is ready to pay the 5 million pounds that Real Madrid demands.

I love how this topic evolved from a simple commentary about Beckham's transfer to a debate about Beckham in general 
although i do agree that he's only a marketing toy and doesn't have any special skills that would make him a star like Zidane, he and Owen are until today the only english players that i like. I've never been a big fan of the players in the UK. It doesn't mean that i underestimate the EPL! On the contrary, EPL is my 2nd favorite championship after the spanish Liga because of its very high professional level
