if we look @ the overall statistics of the game,england has deserved 2 win since they were in control of every possible aspect...but myself i give trinidad & tobago a standing ovation 4 their performance 2day...every1 will say that they played with 9 players in their zone & didnt do much on the other end...thats true...but u gotta love this team's spirit that was fightin 4 every ball & goin after every english player...if there was a world cup 4 combativity trinidad would have finished 1st ...again total respect 4 beenhakker's boy...as 4 england they got the win but not @ all convincing...they had many occasions but most of them were not well used by lampard & crouch...gd news with rooney's return but since he was physically limited he didnt give much of a performance which brings me 2 my point:erikson has very few choices on his bench(17 year old walcott who never played a premier league match bein in the squad only proves my point)...rooney'entrance was more 2 bring some spirit 2 this team & it did...i m still not feelin england really well,they havent convinced me much(except in the last min when there opponents became 2 tired & couldnt run anymore )...if they play like this against sweden they will not do a gd result because even if sweden only got a draw against t&t they played way better than england did 2day...trinidad attacked in the last min which lead 2 a counter & 2 a fantastic goal by gerrard...in the end full respect 2 trinidad who deserved the draw but experience & physical condition is way better on the english side...

next up a very intense game between paraguay & sweden(loser will be out)

England played one hell of a game....crouch owen and lamapard coudlve done better than that...in the end Gerrard put the icing on the cake...you'll never walk alone ...

Delgado... That man... Oh my Lord... I was on edge during this afternoon's match... So much strength and persistence embodied in this killer squad... I was also on edge during the England- T&T game... but for all the WRONG reasons... Yet another disappointment on the Lions' part, but THE Stevie G compensated beautifully... He's Godlike... LENNON IS A BEAUTY! And props to Dwight Yorke whom endured much throughout the match; yeah, the only red shirt to actually roam the remainder of the field and not hog the 'defense' vicinity.

Congratulations to Sweden for that so-so Ljungberg header (makes Gooners real proud, issit ?), and for having earned a further three points, making them the runner-ups of all the action (or LACK thereof!!!) in Group B.

Group B is by far the weakest group so far I think. and a big disappointment. No way can anyone realistically consider England a contender after those 2games. I'm happy they won. The Anfield boys really came through in the end. Gerrard will be a big star of this WC.

Some of my own views on the English shambles:

Another pathetic performance, England have on paper some of the world's best talents and they can't string together more than 5 passes together, the players treat the ball like a hot potato and are dispossessed easily, Crouch, Beckham and Lampard were all crap but the first two are praised because of the first goal... Disgraceful display. Carragher was taken off when it was clear that Beckham should have been the one to be taken off. Gerrard and fat, lazy Lampard can't play together in midfield, Sven should have realised that Scott Parker should have been picked and played as a defensive midfielder, that guy has been immense for Newcastle and it has been clear since Euro 2004 that Gerrard + Lampard just does NOT click!

Sigh... Germany or Ecuador will tear us apart

I can see it already, in less than a couple of weeks we will be reading headlines along the lines of "1460 days left", "40 years of hurt, and counting", "Them penalties AGAIN".


Heck Even Poland had far more discipline and control over the ball than England! At least they know when to pass, when, and how, they can somewhat control the pace of the game, England never showed that under Sven, it makes one feel bad to see the amount of horrible passing attempts the players of England make, it makes the poor opposition look good though...

Frustrating Sven... Has some of the finest England individuals, but can't gel them together as a team
