The FIFA Organising Committee has announced the seeds for the 2010 World Cup draw, which will be held in Cape Town on Friday 4 December.

Only pot1 was made according to FIFA ranking, the rest were done according to regions.
Pot2 = UEFA
Pot3 = AFC (& OFC) - CONCACAF
Pot4 = CAF - CONMEBOL
Technically, most teams in pot4 are stronger than those of pot3

mmm, right.. but same groups, what difference does the name of the pots make?
It's when I look at pot 3 (Fifa pot 2) and I see North Korea along with USA, South Korea and Japan that I understand why it was decided to seed the group by regions instead of FIFA ranking, Platini should be given a Nobel.
