Well its related somehow to the EUROCHEEZE topic, because he says why ''UK CD market became so fucked'' its not so new but its the latest interview with him, felt like sharing it.

Seb Fontaine hasn’t always had the easiest time from the dance music press – in certain circles he’s been lumped in with other big-name radio DJs as a purveyor of cheesy trance. But if you go hear the man play, you might be surprised: there’s actually a lot more to Seb, and just because he’s been a bit quiet on the press front recently, it doesn’t mean to say he’s lost his passion for music. In fact, despite his many years in the business, he still has that ‘excited kid going to his first rave’ quality to his character.

He also seems to have been a bit quiet in terms of releases, but that’s about to change with the imminent arrival of ‘Perfecto presents… Seb Fontaine’, a double CD and his first mix album since the ‘Prototype’ series for Global Underground (although he did a mix album for Perfecto in the USA last year that did really well). Just as Paul Oakenfold has caught a few of his doubters on the hop of late by releasing excellent albums from Lee Coombs and Rennie Pilgrem in the ‘Perfecto Breaks’ series, so Seb will silence a few of his critics with his album.

Forget about this genre or that genre: if you ask Seb Fontaine what he plays he’ll simply reply ‘electronic house music’. You could , if you insist, say that his ‘Perfecto presents…’ album embraces a mixture of tech-edged beats and breaks, funk-fuelled jackin’ house and sleazy electro grooves, but why make a rod for your own back?
