Northern Israel, Haifa, Mo Shic Shlomi is born - a man, whose name thrills millions of progressive House fans today. He grew up in a musical family, but not everything in his life inclined cheerful singing.

In the age of 18, he was enlisted to National Service, where as a medic, he had to deal with death everyday. Soldiers brought from Lebanon were dying right in front of his eyes. Continuous suicide attacks and living on a time bomb made Mo Shic understand, what’s the most important thing in life - to seize the day.

When he finished paying his debts to the country, he decided to devote himself completely to electronic music. He fell in love with progressive, which wasn’t too popular at that time in Israel. He was handing out his mixes wherever he could, but the scene ignored his "too dark" style. Disillusioned, he moved to New York - the city where John Digweed and Sasha were spinning records in Twilo, and Mo Shic’s progressive darkness finaly found a susceptible breeding ground.

Nevertheless, Mo Shic didn’t stay on emigration for too long. At Avi Yossef’s request he went back to the motherland too meet Avi, a meeting that later on changed his life. His dreams started to come true. With his first singles under the Argonout guise,

Argonout (Aka Moshic) is Moshic first project and got releases threw Cyber records (NL) Got Supported by the best world djs and featured in the best compilations such as : Armin van Buren,Tiesto(in search of sunrise3),Global-Undeground "after-hours",Gatecrasher(discotech),Kasey Taylor(Balance).

Mo Shic started to conquer the dance scene worldwide. However the true fame and publicity gave him a production made with his friend - Shlomi Zidan. "Nightstalker" was included in Danny Howells’s "Nocturnal Frequencies 3" and Jimmie Van M’s "Bedrock: Compiled & Mixed" compilations. When "Dj Magazine" announce the tune as the underground hit of the year, nothing could stop Mo Shic.

The Mo Shic mix for John Digweed’s broadcast on Kiss 100, went down in history. Since then - December 2001 - Mo Shic has constantly emerged from the underground to finally became its ambassador. The Ambassador, because his fame doesn’t fit within borders of underground anymore.

Every day, every week, every month masterpieces like "10@ZE" or the remix of Memnon’s "Locutus" were produced. Year after the Kiss 100 broadcast his "Distorted Patterns" compilation was unearthed. Progressive fans went down to their knees and Mo Shic was asked to do the Essential Mix that was broadcasted in February this year. Soon after that his mix is added to the "Dj Magazine’s" April issue. This set as well as the Essential Mix mostly included tracks from not widely known Middle East artists and the world was left without doubts - Mo Shic is a genius! He spelled it out once more with the slamming remix of Christian Hornbostel’s "Into Your Mind".

In an interview for soundrevolt.com he said: "My main ambitions are to export different kind of productions that will get special attention on the dance floor. I hate average music and I'm known to my relatives as a guy who yearns for perfection in his life. And I will not go the easy way and sample other people works, 100% Moshic and not a cent less."

Few listens of his productions or sets is enough to fully understand what the author meant. If not remixing, he very often edits the tracks he plays to give them the touch of his unique style. The style filled with darkness and curdling blood energy. But it doesn’t freeze the body. The body meekly obeys the perfect sound and fulfills itself in dance.

Till this day, Mo Shic has produced over 40 tracks! But it’s not the end! More are waiting to be published - the fruits of his collaboration with Rui Da Silva to name just a few.

The darkness shines brightly, showing that progressive can still be breathtaking...
