Adam Nickey aka Kai Del Noi was born in 1982 in Poland. He’s been interested in music since his early childhood and started creating his own tracks in 1997. Back then he didn’t know that his tracks would have so many fans in the world. It all started when Adam burned some of his amateurish tracks on CDs and gave them to his friends. At that moment he began thinking seriously about making music. His first track was Back To Africa in 2004 which was made under the pseudonym Kai Del Noi.
Despite the fact that it wasn’t officially released, it got very much appreciated nationally and internationally. November 2005 is the summary of Kai’s creation since 2003 which resulted with the album Kai Del Noi – The Dream. After those small and bigger success he decided to go outside Poland with his productions. The new pseudonym Adam Nickey was born with new tracks Perfect Destiny and Forgotten Island at the end of 2005. They are both a combination of Uplifting Trance and Progressive. A massive success came out of them. Forgotten Island was played by the biggest names in the trance scene. The new sounds of Adam Nickey appeared in clubs, on radios and compilations in the whole world. Many labels from Europe and elsewhere proposed to release Adam’s tracks. He always puts his heart and positive emotions in his tracks, which is why they get a lot of support and appreciation from fans and DJs around the world. Perfect Destiny and Forgotten Island were voted “Web Vote Winner” in the radio show Trance Around The World hosted by Above & Beyond. The UK band was actually the first one to play and promote Adam’s tracks in clubs and the show.
The following track which conquered fans’ hearts was Beyond Doubt, first played by Armin Van Buuren as “Tune Of The Week” and a week later chosen as the “Future Favorite” in the famous radio show A State Of Trance. After being played many times by Armin, Beyond Doubt was part of the YearMix 2006. His remix of Vascotia – Avalon was also voted “Tune Of The Week” at the end of 2006.
Adam Nickey is a DJ, remixer and producer. He collaborates with some international labels: Anjunabeats (UK), DeepBlue Records (UK), Enhanced Recordings (UK), Conspiracy Recordings (UK), RealMusic Recordings (USA), Six:Thirty Records (UK) where his latest tracks and remixes are released. Adam has also a few remixes for DeepBlue Records, Noys Music, Kontor, High Light Records, Enhanced, Alter Ego Records and RealMusic Recordings.
One of his remixes at the end of 2006 deserves some attention. He remixed a track for ATB. The German DJ, very impressed by Adam’s tracks, asked him to remix his track Justify. Another big success was a remix for another big name in the EDM scene, Mike Koglin.
All tracks received very good reviews and the appreciation of English magazines. Beyond Doubt received a grade of 4/5 in DJ Mag. Mark Pledger also wrote a wonderful review for M8 Magazine.
At the beginning of 2007 Adam produced two new tracks. The first of them is Letting Go which was created with the collaboration of the well known trance vocalist Tiff Lacey. Before that, she collaborated with such artists as ATB, Paul Oakenfold and Matt Darey. For the needs of this new track Adam made a few different versions, Uplifting Trance and Progressive. Letting Go was released by DeepBlue Records.
The following track is Never Gone, definitely pure Uplifting Trance. It was released by Anjunabeats at the end of 2007. Above & Beyond have also a small part in this track. They willingly helped in the production and added their name (i.e. Adam Nickey – Never Gone (Original Mix - A&B Respray)).
Adam’s music is being more and more appreciated among the world’s DJs. His tracks and remixes are played intensively and appear often in the shows of Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, ATB, Markus Schulz, Solarstone, Ronski Speed, Agnelli & Nelson, Ferry Corsten, Kyau & Albert, Tiesto, Johan Gielen, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Woody van Eyden, Activa, Aly & Fila, Ian Betts, Pedro Del Mar, Andy Bagguely, Adam White, Progression, Matt Hardwick , John O'Callaghan, Darren Tate, Marc West, Mark Eteson and many others.
