Solarstone are Rich Mowatt & Andy Bury… a UK based production / dj outfit responsible for some of recent club history's most defining moments. Alongside the Solarstone moniker, their other pseudonyms include the Young Parisians, Z2, Liquid State & Skyscraper.Since their chance meeting over 11 years ago, Solarstone have amassed a solid worldwide following from clubbers and djs alike, their musical output being firmly supported by every Trance and Progressive dj worth their salt.Their musical style ranges from Quality Trance, Melodic Progressive House, Breaks and Funky House to ambient soundtracks…depending the mood of the day of course.Their back catalogue is a real 'whos-who' of Club Anthems and Classic remixes for artists including Paul Oakenfold, the Human League, Sarah McLachlan and many more. Countless unforgettable Ibiza moments have been recorded by fans thanks to Solarstone's seminal top 40 hit ‘Seven Cities', and their releases have defined the changing face of worldwide trance music for a generation of clubbers, spread across compilation giants such as Cream, Ministry Of Sound, Euphoria, Gatecrasher and Slinky.
Renowned as DJs who never fail to deliver the goods, their worldwide travels have taken in some of the biggest events and festivals across the globe, and also some of the most bizarre, including islands in the Philippines, bush parties in Australia and atop of volcanoes in the far-east. Their Deepblue record label and its sub-labels maintain a steady flow of high quality and inspirational releases, including some of the biggest club records of recent years - Young Parisians 'Jump The Next Train' (2004-5) and Solarstone & Jes - Like A Waterfall' (2006) being two of the most recent.
Somehow, in amongst all this they find the time to host their very own Deepblue Radio Show, which broadcasts across FM and Web networks worldwide, to an audience of over a 5 million people. It's been a career of chance-meetings, unbelievable highs and some crushing disappointments, but the collective of brilliant musicians, vocalists, family and friends they have around them always ensures that they deliver the goods. The scene has undergone many mutations over the years, but it always returns to where it began - Grooves, Melody and emotion - without which there wouldn't be no dance music, and there would be no Solarstone
