INTRO: Few DJs are cited as frequently by their peers as being inspirational, as Carl Cox. Returning to New York’s Crobar on Saturday, October 15th to play a stage set-up in the main room, Carl Cox took time to speak with Emily Tan for Clubplanet.com while riding his tour bus across the United States. Here’s how it went:
E: Where are you right now?
C: Right now, I’m on the [tour] bus on the way to Denver. We’ve been on-the-road for three days, driving. The last time I was in New York at Crobar was St. Patrick’s Day, and I’m playing Crobar Saturday, October 15th. I’m excited, because this time I’ll be on the stage, down near the floor instead of high up in the DJ booth.
C: At the moment, I’m in the midst of this bus tour of the U.S. After I finish, I’m going to Australia for a month, and I’m building a new studio over there. While I’m there, I’ll be working in the studio, then I’m going back to Japan and doing their big “Electricglideâ€
