I just finished listening to what is undoubtebly the greatest PsyTrance album I have ever heard (Filteria ~ Sky Input) so I did a little research about the man behind this masterpiece and thought some of you may be interested in my findings...
Jannis, living in Stockholm (Sweden), started the Filteria project in the summer of 2003. His first contact with psychedelic music was in 1996 after buying Distance To Goa 4. As an artist, he tries to keep the true spirit of Psychedelic Trance by having lots of melodies and layers of sound; all his tracks have at least 3 melodic climaxes! He is strongly influenced by the sound of 96-97 especially by the sound of Italian maestros Etnica/Pleiadians, but he still keeps his sound Filteria-style and up to date. His first live act was in late 2003; since, he's been playing several times both in Sweden and Europe.
His debut album Sky Input, mastered by Tim Schuldt, got a release under Suntrip Records on November 22nd 2004; here's its tracklisting with the corresponding BPM of each track:
1 - Operation Pulse (10:34 - 144 BPM)
2 - Stars (StarStuff Remix) (09:42 - 146 BPM)
3 - Navigate (08:25 - 148 BPM)
