BOBINA is a new Russian Trance group consisted of: Dmitry Almazov and Sergey Vinogradov . The story goes back when they met in Moscow back in July 2002, only 10 days later.. they made a track "Russian Dream"
This track was fast getting popular between DJs throughout all of Russia.. and one day in Dec 2002 none other than "Sergey Pimenov" one half of the internation Russian Trance Group "PPK" heard a track playing at a rave party in Saint Petersbourgh (Russian Dream), he asked about the International Artist responsible for this song and got surprised to know they're 2 young producers from Moscow.. He soon made them sign a record deal with his label "UPLIFTO" (along with his teammate from PPK - Alexander Polyakov)
In December 2003, the guys behind Bobina remixed the hit track "Slow" by "Kylie Minogue" which was a big success all over Russia and spreading all over Europe. Moreover, back in March 2003, UPLIFTO records lisenced the track "Bobina" to Solarstone's label "Deepblue Records UK" (no wonder their track got that lisence, it has so much solarstone feeling..)
Also in May their new album will be released with remixes for Armada (nl) and Nebula (uk) record labels.. and their premier would be in GATECRACHER Moscow on May 9th, 2004.
Currently, the guys are busy with many productions and remixes like a new remix of Three Drive's - Air Traffic and a new track called "Catchy"
personally I suggest you remember this name "BOBINA" very well.. coz it's going to be a huge name in the trance scene.. PPK may be over for now.. but it seems the Russian Trance already found its successors..
