The day Rosario-born artist Mariano Perez discovered the sound of house definitely changed the way he listened to music, and the way he got involved with it. After his professional dj debut in 2001 at former art-bar OBS, followed by a residency at Bar del Mar (a classic reference of electronic music in Rosario, among Argentina's most important cities), he began to spread his deep-tech-progressive house vibes in different clubs all over the local scene.
Towards the end of 2004, already known as Deep Mariano, his residency at MEI club helped him being requested by massive local events such as Evolution, Seven and Dinamique, and international parties Audio Dluxe, where he played alongside the likes of John Digweed, Jimmy Van M. and Desyn Masiello. At the same time he earned experience with the decks, Deep Mariano explored his production skills and soon began releasing tracks in US labels Sentient Audio Collective and Acute Recordings. With studio-fellow CPM they have specially remixed Off Side Recordings' artists.
In 2005 he was part of Creamfields Buenos Aires' line-up at Cream Arena, with Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells and James Holden. Last summer's highlight at hottest beach spots clubs had him warming up the dancefloor to dutch Junkie XL and local talent Martin Garcia. In May 2006 he played the third Southfest edition, an important Argentinean festival featuring artists such as Deep Dish, LCD Soundsystem, Plump DJs and Satoshi Tomiie.
Ambient, acid, idm and techno influences feed Deep Mariano's deep progressive climates through his dj sets, and also enrich his production formula in search of a completely personal sound.
