I am especially fond of the choice of opening and warm up sets...

I think you should name those main event, and the latter sets as cool down sets? That would make more sense....

silver_edge let me tell you a thing...electronic music is not popular anymore, it does not attract a high quality crowd and let's face it it's on a downward spiral for quite a few time. You have a lot of very highly qualified DJs who make a living out of events and cannot stop taking bookings just because they do not like the crowd they will be playing for. C-Rouge is a professional producer who needs to keep a certain cash-flow to finance his upcoming projects and unfortunately nowadays only a specific crowd is asking for trance and whether we like it or not the vast majority is those emos or other weird names and weird-looking people. C-Rouge is just an example, guys like Nino and Undertaker are almost full-time DJs and rely on it, they cannot stop playing just because the crowd doesn't appeal to them. So I'm sure that as far as they are concerned, the only thing they can do is play quality music and deliver solid sets, basically do what they do best and try to educate the masses and show them the quality sounds out there. Guys like Dion, me or many others are students or full-time consultants (or anything for a fact

), so we can say no to some of the bookings because simply DJing is not a full-time job or first priority.

So instead of criticizing these guys I suggest we thank them for at least trying to play their part and criticize the real idiots out there that we talk so much about.

Exacly A-cube ,so some of the djs are forced 2 play in such events to earn a living...so y go the next day talk bout such fuckd up events when they actually need such events to keep their music alive...y talk bout them and they know at the end of the day,theyre still in the business cz of that crowd?
all im saying,i just had enough from seein posts bout such events,just leave them alone do wat they wanna do...

well As In headkay said...Dray is a quality dj 2...as well C -rouge and we played together once in a cheesy event but it was a gr8 lineup anyway with tia also so u cant say its a bad line up or smth and it;s not my prob if Trance Fans are ages from 15 till 20 ...it;s lebanon and thats my job and i'm not gonna stay home bcz of this ...but anyway we are traveling ehre and there anyway
and i complain of this bcz send a proof where i played in a cheesy lineup...i never accept a gig if the lineup is not pro @ least...and when iused 2 lpay @ cyan i played only with undertaker and everybody know it...oh and let me add smth....check the pictues and reviews here abt our cyan events...it always used 2 be different...Stage light ...extra speakers ..and why cyan ? bcz it doesnt matter for me where..the important thing is the lineup and why cyan ? well everybody played @ cyan and each year they and we do..
and i posted this event bcz its really shit...Anno TRANCE ENERGY....where is the rights abt this event 2 use the TRANCE ENERGY Slogan ?
