Normally i have a negative perception of lebanese clubs. Like i said i went to Basement unwillingly (once for my friend's birthday) and i'll never put even my smallest foot's finger into this club.
- Number of lebanese clubs that play Trance on weekends:
zero as far as i know.
- Number of lebanese pubs that play Trance on weekends:
one (Gauche Caviar). Smoking is one of the things i hate the most on this planet, but i still go to GC for the music. THANK YOU JOHNNY!
If this new club will play "House/Progressive/Psychedelic/Electro/Techno" then there is absolutely nothing new introduced in the lebanese scene because all clubs play the same shit over and over and over again. The new thing that people will see in the new club is most probably a very cool design that will look attractive to the eyes of the clubbers. Instead of creating competition by having for example 2-4 clubs that play Trance, 4-6 clubs that play House and 4-5 clubs that play Electro/Techno, the lebanese club owners do the copy-paste method by playing the same genres everywhere. Oh and i think that you forgot the commercial music in the list of styles to be played in this new club. Maybe you don't want this style, but it will be played nonetheless.
I love Progressive Trance but i won't come for 4 hours just to listen to 3 proggy-tranzy tracks (obviously the house and electro will dominate). I also love Psy-Trance but still it won't be a genre that will be played on a monthly basis (not big enough group of fans of this genre in Lebanon).
Thx for the invitation but i'm nor in Dbayeh nor in Mtayleb (i don't even know where Mtayleb is lol) frequently and i'm not interested in those music genres. However if there will be really quality Trance DJs coming to the club from time to time (example: Kyau & Albert), then i'll attend those events.
This is exactly why my favorite club in Lebanon is my room
proud to be a Trancehead!
