Also remember that the Russians at that time were following the mission step by step,they would have revealed all the info if it turned out to be a hoax.

The landing on the moon was filmed and broadcasted to earth. Fact. All the doubts about it were mainly made by conspiration theorists (aka attention seeking idiots) and NASA has responded to this as well as LOADS of independent researchers and scientists have ran tests on every point that the doubters have based their assumption upon and the landing was clear cut to be a fact. This debate has been put to down years ago.

(just a few months ago, Mythbusters proved the landing was genuine - and we all know how cynical and skeptical Jaime Hyneman & Adam Savage can get..lol)

It's not a hoax. Just rumours, theorists, and people from behind their monitors trying to stir a windmill with nonsense like that into people's emails and their pathetic blogs.

I can't believe that some people want to degrade humanity's greatest achievement so badly that they come up with all such bullocks.

Man; not america. Earth; not Heuston. People should stop wasting their time and their little brain cells in their empty head coming up with theories and simply take pride in what science has accomplished... in the name of mankind.

My question is...with today's technology...shouldn't a trip to the moon be as easy as a trip to a grocery store??

It should be but back then the goal was landing a man on the moon then coming back safely and that's it,the goal has been reached there's no point from going back there int he near future,nothing worth studying,there's a slight chance that there's frozen water under both of the moon poles but it's a long shot discovery,the next manned mission to the moon is gonna study the other side of the moon,the one that we never see.
oh and don't forget that the US couldn't afford letting the Russians beat them to the first Space accomplishment,Apollo 11 was almost a catastrophic failure for further info
