Definitely Dr. Cox
His character was at it's best during Season one but then he softened.

See, Cox is a hard-arse in a sarcastic ego-centric way. Red Forman is a
hard-arse in a war-veteran, disciplinary, conservative way.

Plus Cox talks far too much. Red talks very little and when he does it's
mainly abuse and straight-to-the-point.
They've a lot in common though, both bottle up feelings and tough to
break. Both have few moments of tenderness and softness but they still
buckle up and kick arse.

John Mclane, anyone?
