I'm in a pickle! I have been purchasing many books lately and I could not help but notice that i need to carry them everywhere with me whenever I need to read them (obviously). Both devices solve the problem for me. However, each device has its own pros and cons. Allow me to explain.
Kindle:: I'm not a big fan of the fact that it can only read Amazon's material and that its wireless service works only in the US. Thank God for USB! Here's what I like though; it has many of Amazon's books that I want to purchase as a hard copy. And they are cheaper when you buy them as the Kindle version.
Sony Ebook reader: Awesome design with awesome features. It plays ALL formats such as PDF (which the Kindle doesn't I think) except Amazon's books. Now I could always try and find these books in PDF format. A few of what I want to purchase are usually available on the internet in PDF format. And I mean very few. Here's what I hate about PDF files though; some of them are in shit quality because the books are scanned. Not to mention that you can't search for text all the time when you read through PDF files.
I would truly go for Audio Books because I drive more than I actually spend time at home, so they keep me company and I can attentively listen while I passively cruise in my car or even park somewhere relaxing. Plus it saves more time and I can take better notes that way. Thing is, again, the books that I want to purchase are not all available in audio format.
What do you guys/girls think?
