I don't think people go crazy about DJs the way they did 5-7 years ago (Tiesto's golden age), yes there will always be those retarded people that you see commenting on Tiesto's youtube videos calling him God and such but in general there are many DJs to appreciate now and nothing is wrong with over appreciating DJs in live shows, specially when they play some of their own tracks, it's almost like lip singing pop stars, no one complains about how people perceive them, in other words in most cases the top DJs we all know are music composers and producers that makes them talented and idolizing talented individuals on all aspects not just music doesn't make you stupid or naive.
It's not always as easy as pressing play, it's about the DJs skills live and other things everyone here knows, anyone can press play and jump to a Trance crowd (If that's the theme from the whole do not idolize Trance DJs)? Well we can all run and kick the soccer ball, but it's that someone that does it perfectly separates him from the whole pack, same thing with DJs.
